You can never replace that first time you encountered and used it, so I agree with you, any effort to update it may be nice but it will never be as good as the original simply cause it can never replace that nostalgic feeling.

The nostalgia died off to me. Hearing the compression of that weapon in comparison to other weapons is cringe inducing.

This was a personal choice, I replaced one feeling of nostalgia with an older one
