You could name all sort of things like that here ....
One thing I always find rather interesting, people that hop out of their ship just before it blows, usually in a DM. As if the lack of a kill/death doesnt mean you got your behind kicked ...
Such particular individual is also the only one on my BZ2 banlist, dont even feel the need to give him a taste of his own medicine.

People do that in bz2, I take it as a declaration that the unofficial no pilot killing rule is dropped for the duration of the game and then go get my static charge

One thing that's sort of an accepted oddity in the BZ1 DM culture, I suppose it may be the same in BZ2, is the free landing and ship access with several seconds of escape time, after several attempts at an air snipe.
As in, someone who is coming down and following your ship, trying to air snipe (and in BZE, you know this because there's two distinct sounds, one hitting the ground around you and one hitting the hull if the snipe misses) ...to then land next to you and even in FRONT of you, but wants a pass to get in his ship and get clear. . . but to then fire as SOON as they get in. But if you fire as SOON as they get in, it's a whine session.

You'd die if you try that on me

In effect what you're saying is; get 3 shots, keep your life, get a free ship and a free ticket out of there .. just cause you managed to pull the trigger while in the air?
I'd let you live if you dont shoot at me, not if you do shoot at me

I let you try to land and get a new ship, but if you shoot at me, you're now a target until you die again.

Sorry, I might have misunderstood you Nielk.

I warn ahead of time that if I can nick you out of the sky, you're dead. That said, in BZ2, pilots are smaller in proportion and have more movement ability than in BZ1.

IIRC, pilot-killing is acceptable in BZ2 if that player hasn't died before, simply to remove their ability to snipe.

Spawn killing in DM has a score deficit as well, but killing the freshly ejected pilot tends to be OK.

So I see now. I'm only half-following the conversation, been pretty knackered lately.

It is even acceptable if they have died before. Its just that it isnt very interesting anymore once their sniper has been lost as they cant hurt you and you are generally better of shooting at something else.

Apparently its quite acceptable these days, to pilot kill your own team in a strat, if that's what it takes to get you into an empty scout first. A pretty sad state the strat community is in these days. I can see why some just aren't interested in playing any more.

I am actually under the impression that it has slightly improved over the last few months or so, still in a very poor state though.
