BZ2 allows whatever DirectSound says it supports. Unfortunately, this is where Windows XP might be better -- starting with Vista, Microsoft knifed DirectSound3D in the back, and moved most of DirectSound off of the chips on your motherboard and onto your CPU. Changing this would not be easy, sorry.

F7 is usually a problem still in a 5 v 5 strat (e.g. cannot select F7 to pass units to).


Is it that the ally doesn't appear under F7 when this happens? Can you give the usual commands (attack my target, etc) to F7 when this happens? Can any affected player(s) having problems with F7 turn on chatlogging and do a /list -- and also submit battlezone.log file from that game? I'm looking for the lines like this:
F7 is visible but cannot be selected. I saw Mase's post (copied below) and will give it a try, which makes sense. I am using newkeys and I notice my copy does not have the F7 entry (only F10, F9 and F8). Although, before using newkeys on this install, F7 would work only 40% of the time (always visible, but sometimes it cannot be selected, even with the F7 entry in bzgame_keys file). I am going to copy the Chatline options of newkeys (*only part of newkeys I am really using) and paste into the new bz2game_keys and delete the newkeys version and test further.
That select F7 issue is a bzgame_keys problem.
You need to add the following items:
CODE: SELECT ALL
// Teammate selection
Bind("-shift -ctrl F7", "control.team.toggle4");

CODE: SELECT ALL
// Teammate send units
Bind("-shift +ctrl F7", "control.team.moveto4");

The file is now in Addon/Config/Game
On a positive note, z19 is a huge improvement on stability, THANK YOU!!!

Bug: Since the last crash report, at each launch, the game asks me to send the crash report! Keeps asking me the same thing, tho I already sent it!

Protector .. you need to delete the crash log for message to go away: ...My Documents\My Games\Battlezone II\...crash.log

BZ2 can't monitor what you send or don't send in other applications. It can only monitor what you click on in the BZ2 dialogs. If you click on the visit forum link, it won't ask to upload. If you cancel out of the "submit crash report," it will ask again.

Annoying: I cannot see sniper crossfire because of the chat log! Move it upper please.

Cannot join some Multiplayer games cause ivrecy12_svrs.odf is missing

and scavangers still have problems to collect scrap near gun towers and extractors and get stuck.

Don't bother us here. Bother the host in game to ask which mod(s) are in use. Then fetch them.

And, you can't just do a Pokemon and download all mod(s) -- some are built to install and play nice with stock and/or other mods. Some are not.

This patch being as new as it is, there isn't a comprehensive list yet. The best you can do is try them out and let us know what works and what doesn't.

driving a heavy sabre yesterday and it kept moving foreward tho i stopped pressing w. I pressed h so that pilot gets out but he kept moving foreward by his own.

If the console or chat window opened while you were holding W, the keypress will still be registered after you close it again. Press the W key again and it'll stop you moving.

The patches don't just add content willy-nilly. Anything that goes in has to be thoroughly vetted first, and even if it passes that might not make it in until a good while later.
