You do realise how much it would cost to get there just as a passenger at British Rail prices...

And good luck to him... he can't possibly be worse than the alternative.

Yes there are some things that just shouldn't be run like a profit making business, for obvious reasons.

Well, this should be interesting, but why don't our British members hear have a navy without Aircraft carriers?:

Wow! that actually really progressive for them! Don't think the antifascists should bother to go though, these people are more than capable of causing plenty of trouble with their own kind.

We don't have an aircraft carrier because our government doesn't want to pay for one. We could have built our own, but they didn't want to pay for the shipyards either, social security for the people who used to work there is clearly a much more efficient plan! Given all the media hype of economic disaster, you might be forgiven for thinking that our nation is poor in some way, it is not, some of it has never been richer, but not the ship builders obviously. Yes this is extremely short sighted, but we have come to expect nothing better from our poor underpaid Mp's and their starving banker chums. If were attacked were going to mobilise our fleet of several million luxury cars, stun any invaders with our unbelievable house prices and subvert their hostilities with our fabulous shopping opportunities!

Its too bad since Aircraft Carriers are basically floating cities with not only an airfield but the ability to purify a huge amount of sea water into drinking water, a top notch hospital, and tons of cargo space.

I still wonder why people were such dicks back when Bush sent a Carrier to the Indian Ocean after a tsunami. People joked about him being a moron for sending it but the damn thing has what I listed above making it better than a city sized and funded FEMA.

A Nation reflects its population. Mine has become like a forgetful pensioner hoping its investments will keep it comfortable for the time it has left. We don't need to work, couldn't defend ourselves if we wanted to and just hand out pocket money to the "deserving" grandchildren to keep them quiet.
