Lots of sensationalism going about, but all we have is "soldier killed with a machete, perpetrators shot, COBRA convened".

The fact that a man died like that didn't bother me anywhere near as much as the reaction. If that had happened to somebody else in another country, nobody would bat an eyelid. If two white guys had hacked a black man's head off, they'd say "that's horrible" and get on with their day. But since it's a soldier who's been killed here by an extremist in a racial minority, somehow it's different?

EDIT: "Incensed" would be the word of the moment.

I think it makes people wonder why we invite people from the places we're stomping on to live with us. It's a situation brought about by a society that contains warmongers AND hippies.
