Certain types of sawdust are toxic. Not enough to kill you, but enough to force your body to develop an allergy, if you are susceptible, which will then react to ALL wood, not just the wood that caused the initial reaction.

Also not something I learned today, but something interesting and relevant to the conversation.

The itching, maybe. The toes, you might have some other issues you should get looked at.

Always wear a dust mask.

You can actually have this with a lot of goods. Even drinking for instance Chocomilk, a lot of it, can cause an allergic reaction towards milk(or even dairy products in general) itself.
Even more interesting, eventhough you may drink a liter of milk every morning (or whatever substance) you may actually be sensitive to it and are just putting your body to work by digesting it, as good as it can.

Alcohol suppresses the DNA's ability to repair damage caused by carcinogens. Persistent drinkers are more likely to get cancers.

I have to point out that pretty much EVERYTHING damages DNA.

Cancer is caused by the unescapable fact that nearly every particle, wave, or dual-form radiation or material you are exposed to damages your DNA. It is inescapable with age.
