Not sure how its intended, but how I always ended up playing the mission in 1.2 was that I had to take down the bridge myself (or send in my units). Iirc I did get some support from the AAN, which seemed to only be send out roughly around the time you actually reach the bridge.

fixed the aan sabres mucking things up by killing the bridge
spotted another problem, where the player needs to be near the bridge when it gets blown, otherwise things don't happen. fixing that now.
plus, will make the mission text go green at the end.

please give the fixes to "An Unlikely Rescue" (in first post) a try and give feedback.
* removed need for player to be at bridge when it is taken out.
- if the player was not at the bridge, it prevented the rest of the mission scripting from running.
* stopped the AI from attacking the bridge and breaking the scripting.
- prevented the IdleDispatcher from being triggered.

On the misson An Unlikely Rescue whit the sp fixes there are some crazy **** going on, after I destroy the bridge I see like 100 assult tanks haha I laughed so hard

Hello, I am new to this forum but I played Battlezone 2 many years ago and I decided to replay the missions, so I downloaded patch 1.3. When I get to the mission Unlikely Rescue, I get stuck into an auto defeat scenario. I had a similar problem previously stated about how Manson's tanks already destroy most of the bridge before I even get asked to attack it, thus me automatically losing. I downloaded the dll patch in the first post and it seemed at first that this fixed my problem but it doesn't. The bridge isn't auto destroyed but there seems to be the problem of too many tanks appearing before I even get a chance to destroy the bridge. And even if I destroy the bridge, the Recycler gets recycled anyways. I never even go into Manson's base, nor do I send any units into it.
This is the tank problem
