Software version yes but that gives you the basic setup to work from and build one in color.
If you want what you see in game you can put rflame.map on flat terrain and take a screen shot to crop but that loses the detail you get from the converted one.

How does one get around the problem of the map viewer putting the bmp upsidedown and all messed up in terms of color?

The tool flips the texture, that is hard coded, you need to pre flip it but that tool can't process sprites correctly for the game. If you have something done, i'll process it for you.

Ok that isn't in bmp format, all original work should be in bmp and not been compressed. (png is compressed)

I must say, it turned out pretty sweet.
In BzE rename to rflame.map and check it on the grizzly so you can see them all at once.
The bmp needed to have all pink areas painted 000 black so it's transparant. (i included the changes i made to it)
Also you may want to try it just a bit more pale in color and see how it looks in game.

Mmmm. Anyways. Spent all nite retexturing a Chinese Tank for use in the Golden Skull Pirate faction Zeno made a long time ago. Gonna revisit that... do some upgrading.

Cannon1 = Super-Charged Plasma Stabber (Note: The actual weapon has clear light blue smoke. But, without the rest of the assets, you're only going to have to settle with blue smoke.)
Cannon2 = Unarmed
Rocket = Shadower Missile

Mess around with it, if you want. The race will overwrite the NSDF, seeing as how the Black Dogs'll still be in there. Meh. Here's the download.

And because Zeno has brain damage and forgets things constantly, here's the ordinance sound.
