Anybody else getting this insanely strange bug? [SOLVED]

Whenever I run BZ2, my speakers start emitting a very quiet, but very noticeable high-pitched squealing sound. This sound seems to increase in pitch if I turn OFF the interface with SHIFT+F5, and also if the game is paused. It seems to be directly related in pitch to FPS. A lot of the time I hit around 1-2K FPS with my GTX 560Ti, but I can't figure out why this would be happening. It's not the speakers, it's only this game it occurs in.

You'll probably need decent full-range speakers to hear it, or a very good pair of headphones.

I'm going to attempt to record it somehow, as it'll be a little difficult to nail down if you guys can't hear it at all. For me, it's happening in the right-side speaker only, from what I can tell anyway.

...wut.

Why is it only the audio guys get the strange audio bugs? My shell buttons clip.

Maybe we're the only ones who notice :P Who knows... I've got a sneaking suspicion that this bug is going to be isolated to me only.

Fairly sure mine is too.

Okay, a bit of testing. It's definitely coming from BZ2, because it's using up a sound channel!

If I turn max sound channels down to 1, there it is all by itself. If I look down at the ground and turn the interface off, my FPS goes up to about 4,000, and the pitch gets MUCH higher.

Someone else try this?

Cant say I have noticed this, but that may be cause I set my sounds in such way my bass-box doesnt go insane. For some reason lots of sounds in this game makes my ears bleed if I leave the bass up .. and I shy away from Shads in general :D

More than likely. It's directly linked to my FPS, so I imagine at 2K or so, the frequency is actually audible.

Are you running a sound card or onboard?

Maybe your circuitry is picking up noise from the PCIe interface, which seems to explain more noise with higher FPS.

If not, then no idea.

Straight out of the motherboard, Like you I think it's noise coming from the GPU perhaps. Wouldn't expect it from a board of this grade though, and it only occurs in BZ2. Not things like 'Abe's Oddysee', which I expect I'm getting considerably higher framerates in. It's very odd indeed.

I get high-pitched noises from my computer from time to time that usually relate to FPS like this. Interestingly, though, that sound seems to come directly from my graphics card, not my sound. This happens in a few different games including BZ2 (last I checked), Minecraft, and a couple other games I have. Not sure what causes these games to produce that sound and what prevents others from doing so, but here's my testimony. Could possibly be related, but unsure.

^ OMFG HE LIVES!?

Yeah it also seems to be coming directly from my card, it's so damn strange...

I have an nVidia 460 GT, and you claim to have a 560ti, I wonder if it's a problem in the latest lines?

Also, I've noticed that the noise gets louder and higher pitched as heat increases, could possibly be a thing with the fans on the card. Do you have the ability to force fan speed to full?

I may do with the tuning software program that came with it, I'll have to check it out.
