Fiction never comes true...Insurance companies should really get into the protective prediction market, selling comprehensive predictions of misfortunes to people, alongside insurance, just to evoke the mysterious Laws of Probability in order to prevent said misfortunes from actually occurring. Clearly this is an enormous market just waiting to be exploited, you could even add a touch of lottery to it, so that if against all rational possibilities, your predicted misfortune did occur as predicted, then you could receive a completely disproportionately huge payout on your policy

It was all BS to begin with anyway. New Years is almost here, just another work day for me on the 21st.

The current Mayan's (yes, there are still Mayan's with their ancestral roots) didn't believe it was the end of the world, and were going to enjoy it as the start of a new revolution. That's what it boiled down to really..

Afaik those are Maya as you might be Christian, not Maya as you might be American.
