Blink?

Post by S.cavA.rmyG.en »

some thing that I am wondering is how dose blink deside what enters and where it exits I don't see any settings besides the enter and exit effects wich form what I can tell do next to nothing they don't a have sound listed on them.

I know the blink effect is hard coded but don't understand the targeting of it.
what I think is that it uses the damage Radius form the explosion as a target.
but at this time I can't test much of any thing and I think N1 might know becouse I rember his recall mine being based off of part of this effect. if I am right more then one unit mite be able to blink at once.

WTF?

1: Blink effect is not hardcoded, the effects are all in the in and out explosions...

2: HAVE YOU EVER USED BLINK?

The questions you ask make me think you've never used it, but only heard of it in passing...

Blink is a weapon.

You hold down the fire button, a reticle appears on the ground where you aim. THATS HOW IT TARGETS. When you release the mouse, you appear there.

As for ammo consumption, that is based on how far away you jump, the farther it is, the more ammo. I'm not sure the exact ratio per meter.

So, to answer your questions:

1: What enters? It only effects your ship.
2: Where it comes out? Where you aim.
3: Effects are in the explosions. (I assume you mean RENDERS)

N1's RECALL mine uses DLL to move the ships.
