Re: Any old HEAT players? LoK or Black Watch?
Hi Javews,
Did you only play on Heat? I was part of {911} and [TBZ] but I never played on Heat, only the Anet servers.

Re: What is the last movie you've seen?
Watched Croods last night, great animation and a decent story line. Nicolas Cage as Grug may not have been the best idea, his voice is too unique, I kept envisioning him saying his lines to a mic.

Re: Battlezone 2.5
Nielk1, BB brought up BZE and AHadley dived into the BZE/BZ crap. I was responding to BB's comment about avoiding "dilemma" by making too much of a change (which I disagree with). And it's a shame that several community members choose to deride other people's development efforts instead of...

Re: Battlezone 2.5
Did you click the link to the BF2142 mod in my post? Read how it works and how it has its own servers because its not compatible with other versions of BF2142. You seem to hung up on the session number yet ignore that all versions are in different sessions already by design because they are incompat...

Re: Battlezone 2.5
Can we please stop talking about the whole BZ vs BZE crap? That was a long time ago and what's done is done. That should be in its own topic instead of hijacking this thread which has nothing to DO with either game/mod. I'm still curious myself as to how this mod will pan out just to test out some ...

Re: Battlezone 2.5
[quote="AHadley"Dx could have added that check, yet he did not. That is the difference. He chose to make BZE its own standalone package; the original does not have to be there for it to be played, which means it can replace the original. I can't choose to download a copy of BZE without BZ ...

Re: Battlezone 2.5
How is that critical? Dx could add a check for 1.4 files during install and make it not stand alone. How does that make a difference? Legal vs not legal. If BZE required a retail copy of BZ1 to install, no one could ever question it's legality. So how is using unlicensed source code and removing th...

How is that critical? Dx could add a check for 1.4 files during install and make it not stand alone. How does that make a difference? 1.5 is not stand alone only because Ken doesn't include some of the resource files. 1.5 has been made into a standalone as you are well aware by you know who. So how ...

Re: Battlezone 2.5
No version of BZ is compatible with a previous version, they all have separate server sessions (I thought you were aware of that). The different versions of BZ are not mutually exclusive either, play any or all of them. It's narrow minded people that try to make it one vs the other. The star wars mo...

Re: Battlezone 2.5
Naming conventions aside, anyone can make a mod and include whatever they want in it. I found a mod that was a Star Wars themed overhaul of Battlefield 2142 . Whether or not a mod is enjoyable to play depends on each person's preferences. If enough people like it, then the mod is successful. There's...

You could install VMWare player and set up win98 in a virtual machine. It may not crash as often with Win98.

Remember Dungeon Keeper? It looks like a cross between DK and UT (gameplay of DK, graphics of UT)

Re: How do i get Tank up a cliff ???
It looks like the nose of your tank is buried in the terrain when you're all the way into a corner. Best to practice on more inclined cliffs to start with then try the vertical ones.

Re: Battlezone Wiki
I found a PDF version of the original BZ manual on the XPLOSIV release CD of BZ 1.4. Do you have that on the wiki?
