yup, if he gets back to his base, they just keep sending attackers to defeat you and the mission only ends when/iff your recycler is destroyed. i should probably add some other conditions to that. You're probably right. I did run through the installer but for some reason after it ran the VS 2008 installer nothing happened. Yeah, it seems to be related to graphics subsystems (drivers, graphic libraries, etc). I was wondering if the editor does something different than bzone regarding graphics which might cause this crash, and if so, if there is a workaround, like anything that can be disabled, or failsafe options.

I wouldn't mind knowing what those settings are. I think the apparent bugs with sky+renderbeforeterrain have to do with the way that the textures or dome geometry is set up, and can be helped out by adjusting the texture or dome distance but it seems to be imperfect.
