Re: Economics, Resources
Now this is something I wholeheartedly agree with. Makes you think that the solution to the large chunk of all the "shortages" isn't to make alternatives but to make the sustainable method of acquisition more profitable (or to even just create the sustainable method in the case of those re...

[OT]I think I see a pattern here, and I don't like it. I see TwoSheds making a strive to keep this topic related by keeping a proper argument going and providing decent counter argument without going for people's throats. On the other end, I see Nielk and Acne going at it, or more accurately, Acne g...

Re: Bionite: Origins
February of 2013 right? From the looks of the list, you don't have any finalized models in place, that is not to say that the good first half of the hard work (the coding) isn't already done and perfected (yes, in case some of you didn't know, you can have the code working flawless and not have the ...

Re: The Fae (Warning Many Images)
really, you're probably not going to be able to use half or all of the buildings/ships you posted, because they are way too high poly... The smoothing modifiers don't export in any way/shape/form last I checked. If anything, given the apparent poly count on the pilot in comparison to the smoothed v...

Re: Trouble with BF2:Bad Company 2
Punkbuster I get randomly booted by servers in BF2142 and in some cases BF2 because of it. Punkbuster in general doesn't like be be run on a system it doesn't have direct admin rights on it seems. My router, firewall and my permissions should allow it to function, but instead it refuses to start up...

Re: The Greatest Speech Ever Made
Well, that edit was uncalled for; furthermore the base theory of evolution is about adaptation over time to result in new(ish) forms of life, not so much directly with genes. If anything is to blame for that it is the view that biology affects mentality, which in some instances it does but for the m...

Re: [DOWNLOAD!] Unofficial Expansion Pack Public Beta Releas
From what I understand, people wouldn't have noticed the difference, but eventually I think someone would have released more of the maps for public testing / enjoyment rather than the recy variants because it is the maps that really need more fine tuning while the variants need overhauls.

Re: [DOWNLOAD!] Unofficial Expansion Pack Public Beta Releas
AFAIK, changes were done to a good chunk of the maps since their previous pre-release in the map-pack. I also have noticed that in regards to the last SVN build of the UEP and Jamsh's revisioning that Dogfighting, Jamsh's Recy Var, and possibly some of the maps were altered, which means that somewhe...

Re: AIP BERSERK LVL6: COMPLETED!
A stratter-style beat an MPI difficulty that was never meant to be beaten... The world is bound to end xD. I guess it also proves that players really need to be well versed instead of looking at the AI as simply a pattern and more as a beast of ultimate resource cache and manpower (Yes, I'm saying p...

Oh, there is no denying this fact. Everything that went in was meant to be the best and to produce great gameplay. Kinda wish he wouldn't have shown GunsGunsGuns before it was even finished. (The scions are done however, they have lungs of doomClavin12 wrote:It's an awesome expansion pack,.

Re: Competitive team games and friendly communities - possib
I played BF2142 recently (wow, is it a wasteland in there) and I only got mad once, and that was due to being Jihad jet'ed (for which the pilot was banned for excessive vehicle collision / explosions. People just agree that running over someone with a jet is ridiculous).
