I would like to tell both BZ1 and BZ2 fanatics alike that what we are trying to achieve is not a remake of the Battlezone universe rather a spiritual successor that celebrates the series and a game that revives the RTS/FPS genre to meet with today's standards.

Now were progressing a bit slow lately ...

We are now brainstorming ideas on how to make dogfighting and wingmen control more tactical and dynamic.. We would love to kill the previous and outdated point, shoot, point, shoot techniques of the older Battlezones, well its 2011 now and we cannot settle for this..

Section 8 always seemed like an alternate version of Halo for me, whats so special about it compared to the original one though? I kind of didnt get too interested in the original game that much... It has some tactical elements like deploying healing pods, turrets, vehicles, etc. Not to mention the ...

You guys speak about queuing commands and selecting multiple units... Come to think about how fast is it drag a mouse and select these units...

We came with this idea of having 2 modes for the player to switch from:

1. FPS Fighting Mode
In this mode you can use the keyboard to hot-key basic ...

Noting is defined regarding the HUD interface yet.. These are just mockups... As the HUD is directly related to how the game play style is going to be..

BZ1 and BZ2 both have some elements that can be combined, i also believe we can introduce new elements to simplify and make the game fast paced ...

This looks really interesting.. One fun mod that is..

Renegade was a really fun to play... I sometimes believe that its a simplified and more evolved version of BZ.

Well for now were not quite sure about whether we're going to have a 10 unit cap or unlimited units as in BZ2 it is too early to tell.. Were still brainstorming about the idea.. Though i actually agree that the BZ2 interface seemed more instant ...
