Mods will need updating for compatibility with BZCC. Maps will need to be repainted, mission scripts rewritten, and new files added to allow the mod to appear in the new mod menu.

That is exactly the opposite of what I said. My last post has nothing to do with BZCC at all and I made that very clear when I said "that's not what Rebellion are doing" in the very first sentence.

What? I can play BZ2 multiplayer without internet connexion or third party program, all i use is the native TCP/IP protocol. Given that the 1.3 patches were made using source code that belongs to Rebellion and that GSH was involved in BZCC's creation, I doubt it's as simple as "we'll pay you to remove them". Nice. Beautiful. But buggy for now. Good that developers react quickly - we have a patch today that fixed a few issues but we got some new ones. Normal working process. Can somebody explain clearly what the "Redux" is? What are the relationships between the original developers, patch creators, etc....

Yes i'm aware of that, but that is quite answering my question as i have no idea which version the Steam/Gog release has or even on which version it is based on. However I assume then that it is different from 1.3.7.2 hence the releases are not compatible for MP? Very different. The current version...

Very cool. I know this has probably already been discussed, but has anyone here been involved in the new BZCC coming to steam? Do we know if they started with Nathan's patches and went from there or did they keep the old code and just make it pretty? I would hope that they at the very least contact...
