Re: Competitive team games and friendly communities - possib
Maybe it's a generational thing. Seems worst now than in the beginning of online multiplayer for me anyway. Now with the XBox Live generation I have a hard time joining any type of game (racing, FPS, fighter etc) without everyone cussing and saying the rudest things to each other and using every che...

Re: Some difficulty with Uler
Hi coxxon!
Uler was very tough at times but agree FE was harder most of the time.
Glad to see your post today, hope we see you more often.

Re: BZ3: Genesis
Keep in mind that old school and hardcore bz1ers resent bz2 in almost every form, even going so far as to deny it canonically. I can't really blame them either.. Well said. BZ2 was more of a reboot than a true "next chapter" in the series IMO. If they had kept it more like The Red Odyssey...

Re: Goodbye to all things Battlezone
Wow, talk about the pot calling the kettle black... deadscion, for the record you have been everything you now say you can't stand about the Battlezone community for years. Lately you may have soften your tone but back in the BZU days no one was a bigger jerk (most of the time) when he felt he wasn'...

Re: How did you discover BZ2?
I was a huge fan of the arcade game Battlezone. So much so I even had an arcade machine in my record store back in the early '80's. So when I saw Battlezone (FPS/RTS) released for the PC I got it day one. This was my first taste of PC gaming. I had always been more of an arcade and console junkie ti...

Re: Battlezone II - GreenGuy's Edition
Balance, in an RTS for crying out loud, is NOT overrated. You are correct Zax, weapon and ship balance should always be thought about but with so little being released in the way of "new" mods for the community I find it refreshing that someone has created something we all can play with e...

Re: Battlezone II - GreenGuy's Edition
Nice work GreenGuy. Glad to see someone releasing a mod these days. Don't take the criticism to badly. If they don't like it so much then they shouldn't play it. If this was your vision of how you would like to play the game then stick to it as long as it is playable. Balance is to often overrated. ...

Re: URGENT Personal Issue!
I've been in the shoes of your neighbor when I was working two full time jobs and only home to sleep. My neighbor's dog barked 24/7 and no matter when I tried to sleep, his dog was barking. Living next door to this guy was a nightmare. I'm a cat person so I know nothing about dog's but if your dog i...

Re: well, that was pointless
Yes, hearing yourself on tape is never easy. You hear every mistake and the more you listen to it the worst you'll feel. From the live videos I saw, your band sounded pretty tight. So what was it that you didn't like? Drum sound, timing issues, fills? I'd recommend listening more to the parts you li...

Re: Damage assessment.
I have tons of Battlezone related utilities, mods and maps from over the years still on my hard-drives.
Maybe we can piece together somewhere for them if needed.
I could burn them to a few DVD data discs and send out since uploading them would take more time.
