I think it's supposed to give the other factions the lookat order towards the player. Player's ship is objectified (painted) and it looks like his virtual team has changed. I don't think that the order is supposed to be given to the player, but it's being sent to the player anyways.

When it comes to tech, I always assume the manufacturers big corners in order to come out with a product for people who are looking for the absolute cheapest thing. I don't mind paying 20% more than the cheapest thing to get something that performs 50% better or lasts 50% longer.

BZ2 has no issues running it out of program files (if it does, show me a use case). The only time it might is if you're using currently running 1.2 or a very old beta (e.g. PB3) on Windows Vista or newer.

According to the DLL source it uses *spilo, not *suser. I don't know where the *suser ODFs are even used.
