Re: Latest Models in .Max Format?
but i see on the ivsout00.xsi it hosed the animations XSI animations cannot be imported in to max, the trick is to just import the bits you want to alter then export them and paste them back into the xsi with notepad, where the animations will still be intact. It wont work for skin animated models....

Re: TUTORIAL: How to Rig and Vertex Animate an object for BZ
I watched the commentary on War of the Worlds (new one). They said getting the tripods looking right was a feat in and of itself. So try it with 3 legsMrTwosheds wrote:Just imagine the fun I'm having with a 40 bone, 4 flexible legged walker....

Re: BZ II Clans?
Noob clans lead by a strong leader breed the best, most pro long term players since they put up with and teach. Other clans mock them but it is these players that give the game staying power.
RIP bz clans, both bz1 and 2.

Re: Anybody else getting this insanely strange bug?
Not heard here. Hardware. More than likely. It's directly linked to my FPS, so I imagine at 2K or so, the frequency is actually audible. Are you running a sound card or onboard? Maybe your circuitry is picking up noise from the PCIe interface, which seems to explain more noise with higher FPS. If n...

Re: Latest Models in .Max Format?
No, it would not loop. You could have it bend back as you go forward and move forward as you go back which would make enough sense anyway without it whipping around as if it were windy (which would be harder to justify if used in vacuum worlds). Just be careful to keep the flippity floppity down fro...

That softimage is the holy grail of bz2 modeling
Or was if nielk's vert animator is as good as described. With softimage you get 1:1 exports with what the modeler makes to what the game is expecting.

Re: Latest Models in .Max Format?
Issue isn't really with xsi -> 3ds -> max. If you aren't poking too hard, you can just re-export with the frames intact allowing the animation to pick up where it left off. More complex animations, like the scavenger or dropship takeoffs, are a bit more tricky to recreate from scratch if you do end ...

Re: Latest Models in .Max Format?
I expect making an importer is no simple task, The original SI_xsi are constructed with polygons, 3,4,5 etc sided shapes, whereas 3dsMax only uses triangles as far as I can tell. I expect programs like 3dex already perform this function as well as can be expected under those circumstances. Maybe 3d...
