Just post general music information that you are interested in or that you think others will be. Or just discuss music.
I don't have anything to start this thread off, so I'll just say that Julien-K released their new album, We're Here With You, today and it doesn't disappoint.

Been listening to a lot of Trent Reznor's work lately (mostly Nine Inch Nails), the man is a genius. Bill Leeb (mostly Front Line Assembly) as well.

Ugh, I accidentally overheard him in some sort of Christmas special that was being blasted far too loudly in the next room. I know it was him because I felt nauseating vibrations through my entire body. I immediately countered the unholy racket with Rammstein's "Ich Tu Dir Weh" but that song has a fairly soft and long intro, so I got a pretty good glimpse of hell before Till started singing and put Justin in his place.

Couldn't walk a straight line for a week afterwards.

On behalf of Canada, I apologize for Justin Bieber. Although it should be noted, America signed him, not us.
Oh, I also apologize for Nickelback. But to be fair, they're from Alberta. If you know anything about Canada, that should be relatively self-explanatory.

I am not going that far, but I am glad the radiochannel I often listen to doesnt play his songs.

---
I really like a lot of older stuff, even from way before I myself was created.
Since her (recent) dead I also found a new interest in Etta James.
I often fall back to the Rolling Stones, but also like Van Morrison .... etc.
In the end I like a lot, but usually just the most populair songs of that artist/band, I could easilly play some 50s music and next some new age trance (though I dont often like the latter).

I like the Knife and Fever Ray, and have for a long time, but more recently I've come to live the Swedish Electronic Duo Royksopp and their album Senior: http://youtu.be/LjZWlffF-d0

I also came across a weird little band called Cocorosie. Observe: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tu3EcAHdHlE&ob=av2e and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiEqWYawpeU

Fever Ray *is* The Knife - or part of it, anyway - so it's a fair bet that liking The Knife means you like music by both of the Dreijers. They've come out with some nice light electronica.

Good, 'cause there are so many Rever Ray fans who listen to The Knife and go "Hmm. Sounds like Fever Ray."

Was never a big fan of FLA. But we also have DFA1979 and NoMeansNo.
