Watched the opener the other day. While it still has some rather blatant errors, and I would like to see the reason for the invasion fleshed out some more, I will continue to watch for the sake of watching. Though the writing has improved a bit since last season, even if it is stillnot the sharpest.

I seen that, yeah. Wasn't to impressed. Thought the aliens were ehh... I could practically predict the sci-fi shoot-em up soljaboy quotes the characters delivered. Don't know why this couldn't take place in a different country, getting tired of Americentric Alien invasion series... Acting was average. design of ships was eh, seen it. (SG-Atlantis did that too, but better...)
I also liked house. I was hoping he'd die or something, unless he did and I missed it...

The past two episodes have been alright. Tonight's wasn't anything special. I could see what they were trying to do, but it didn't pan out well. I hope the writing improves a little as the season progresses. Hopefully they can finish strong.

House ended up getting a bit weird at the end. Faked his own death to avoid going to prison and rode off into the sunset with Wilson, of all people.

He did, but then he didn't.

Falling Skies gets me with the open camp fires at night, lights on, riding around noisy dirt bikes. Strolling around during the day target shooting. Partially covering the hood of cars and trucks to "block the infrared emission of the engines".
(that's as painful as hooking the radio antenna wire to the flagpole and getting sparks) The aliens have ongoing low altitude air surveillance, but somehow the humans manage to sneak up on them at will. They apparently have interstellar FTL capability, yet their ability to see infrared is below our 1940's technology. The aliens haven't learned the concept of low speed, high altitude surveillance like we use with drones.
And remember, the aliens have the HUGE intelligence advantage of not being concerned with civilian and collateral damage. They detect
any humans, they kill 'em. If there's some young people who happen to live through the attack, well, they'll use them as autobots.
This is what you get when you have a decent budget, but TV producers and script writers who think they can write science fiction because they've watched some Star Trek as a kid, and just need a hook to draw the viewer into their world of soap-opera
"human interaction" drama.
It's a hoot because you get the feeling they are trying to portray a somewhat serious theme.

After the rest of the episodes and the season finale, I can safely say that, while the show is not very scientifically accurate and sufeers from somewhat poor writing, I will continue to watch simply for the sake of seeing how it ends.

It is indeed a groan fest, but I have to admit I watch it.
