( now coming off topic a little with religion and of course evololtution is a religion)
Lol

Yeah, scientists haven't "recreated" the big bang because of the amount of energy required to do so.
And no, evolution is not a religion. [sigh]
These are old and thoroughly defeated arguments you're (attempting) to present here.

trust me, it's a religion; just deny it and sit back and watch the believers come out of the woodwork trying to convert you.

what an invalid excuse made by green. as the rules of science is it can be provin if it can be recreated so you cant argue with it, and no excuses so science is a lie

"God and Jesus" = Christianity. In America (where I assume you live), the largest form of Christianity is Catholicism (unless you're a Mormon).

God and Jesus = Catholicism.

What you mean when you say "evolution is a religion" is "atheism is a religion", which in a way, it is. The only non-religion is irreligion, or antitheism.

The difference between science and religion is thus; science adapts to proof.
- If you can prove something in modern scientific theory wrong, the theory changes so it works.
- If you can prove something in modern religious theory wrong, it's not proof and religion is right anyway.

Religion is arrogant and ignorant. I heard someone describe it once as "The belief that nothing so perfect as us could have happened accidentally".

Believe me, if somebody ever proves evolution incorrect then the theory of evolution will disappear completely. I challenge you to here, in this thread, prove science incorrect. Prove a modern scientific theory wrong in a way that can't be countered by another part of scientific theory that you've overlooked. I can practically guarantee that you won't be able to do it.

as said before, religion and government are both institutions created by man to control individuals: they both profess to give you your freedom, yet do the opposite.

you don't need to talk to a man in golden robes to talk to God - just pray.

you don't need big government to be free - get rid of them.

The only way you can have every right and freedom is to live alone, or to remove all rights and freedoms of others. Society exists to ensure a reasonable relinquishment of rights.

was thinking about this the other day in my musings and it came to me that two very good points against the theory of evolution are...breasts: babies would not have survived very long while waiting for them to...evolve.

btw, gravity is a law, not a theory, and, as we all know, theories are unproven.

anyways, back on topic.

most of the protests have taken place in countries where organized muslim revolts/arab 'spring' have taken place. coincidence???

You got them the wrong way around RD; breasts came before giving birth. Mammals originally hatched eggs; lactation kept them from drying out.

Odds are that any hole you can find in science stems from a lack of understanding.

Wrong. You are confusing the common definition of theory and scientific theory.
Scientific theory is defined as a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world, based on a body of facts that have been repeatedly confirmed through observation and experiment.
Theories are absolutely "proven."

Carry on.

There is indeed a lot of painful perspectives on "theory", and techniques used in everyday debates in general. HERE is an example. I won't bore the reader here to watch the whole video, BUT it certainly would not hurt. . . from many of the comments I see around here as well as other forums.

So which came first, the mammals or the eggs? ;)
