Asia is the worst example of what can happen when "free markets" are allowed to determine the development of infrastructure.
Widespread corruption and an endemic selfishness are what have lead to its traffic situation. If their authorities could actually spend their tax payers money on roads and public transport rather than just having it all disappear en route, things would not be in the state they are.

I think that in a week or so, GSH and all the other mods should do this site a favor and lock all politics-related posts.

Honestly, I wanted to lock/remove this thread the moment I saw it appear, as politics is crap and causes arguments. I'm sure it will die off on its own and the mods won't have to do anything.
