Re: Hate me
More complex to implement but:
what about a mixed list? I mean a three-parts list:
-People who are enabled to play with the host.
-People who are disabled to play with the host.
-People who are unknow from the host.
The two first parts eliminate the third part neccesity.
So a mixed-list whith two parts (black and white list, working together, plus a choice for allow unknows or not)
EDIT: when i say a choice, i mean a ingame button in the game options (where you have the joiners on/off button).
We actually have a "kick" and a "ban" button, so why not adding a "add to friends list" button.

Re: Hate me
That's given me a couple ideas to throw onto the idea pile
(1) An alias list by IP. Such list keeps track of any IP (or IP's subnet) that joins and gives it an alias based on the first-used name of the last person that joined. For example if 'Vassili' joined my game, it would put that name as the alias for his IP. So if he joined my game at a later time using a cloak it would say something like 'MyCloakNick' (ip.add.re.ss - Vasilli) joined session. Subsequent joins would show 'MyNewCloakNick' (ip.add.re.ss - Vasilli). You could rename an alias by typing something like /alias <<player list #> or nick> <newalias>.
(2) Option: Policy: Password | Password+Whitelist | Whitelist | Blacklist (recommended) | Open
/whitelist <<player list #>, <ip.add.re.ss> or nick>
/unwhitelist <<player list #> or nick>
Just for explanation, Password+Whitelist would allow anyone who can provide the password, and anyone on the whitelist will be allowed in automatically without being prompted for a password.
(3) Automatic ID sorting.
Instead of having
Use an array like this
In above example, Trevor's IP can be commented out and there's no need to rearrange or renumber billy's IP.

And I don't like people writing blank checks on my free time asking for a technological solution when they refuse to put any other pressure on the griefers they hang out with. Modders usually have the good sense to know that if they never test, only submitting feature requests will earn some shunning from other testers.

Once upon a time there was a little hamster who went to America. The hamster married a mouse and the had mousters. The end
The end
Also a giantess and a tank commander got into a fight and they broke the city and had to pay millions of desu's in fines. They then got married had kids and named their eldest son Sir Theodor Robot the 3rd. He was a robo penguin child he lived the rest of his life inside an igloo then a polar bear ate him.
