Music

Post by Clavin12 »

Here is a thread to talk about music.

Personally, I've recently come to appreciate bands like Hot Chip, Junior Boys, and Royksopp when before they were just boring. Bjork, though different in style from these three, has also caught my interest and affection more than before. Before what you may ask? Well, I don't know. I just know that before I only liked The Knife, and Goldfrapp, and that was it. Also I've discovered the indie band The Bird and The Bee.

So let us share our different tastes and appreciate them.

I like Creed, Avenged Sevenfold, Shinedown, Drowning Pool, Disturbed, Yngwie Malmsteen, 30 Second to Mars, The Lost Prophets, Steve Morse Band, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth.

I also make my own music. Got about 45 songs recorded in the last two years. Where I am lacking is lyrics. I want to do inspirational stuff but have a hard time coming up with lyrics. Here is a compilation of some of the best instrumentals.

I am, of course, A big Iron Maiden fan. I also enjoy Rush, Metallica, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, and Boston. There are of course various other artists that I enjoy some works from, but those are the big ones.

I recently discovered Two Steps from Hell. I'm fairly sure everybody will have heard at least one of their tracks.

I've also recently been getting into more ambient and industrial stuff. Front Line Assembly are a particular favourite.

Wow, very profound AHadley. Two Steps from Hell is certainly the top band for epic-ness.

I'm just playing. I find it funnier that 80% of all male gamers are persistently into Metal.

Behold, I am not into metal. Indeed I rather detest the stuff. (No offense intended for metal fans)

My stance on music:

Rock/Classic Metal is my music of choice. I stated in my earlier post that there are many other artists I listen to some of (The Police, Classical). I tolerate most any kind of music, and enjoy it. Metal is just my music of chice becuase I like it the most. The only genres I do not tolerate are mainstream pop, modern rap (post '91), and extreme metal (Death, Black)
