after looking at the ocean buoy site you see that an ocean buoy dropped 350 meters in almost one day:

plate drop or subduction?

If I believed the American perception of Australians, I would say that they mate with kangaroos, throw jars full of piss, have excellent sharpshooting skills, wear dented hats, constantly eat Vegemite and drink Fosters' brand beer, and kill everyone they meet.
