Yo. Ive played Dark Reign 2 and Battlezone 2 when they were new. I still play them sometimes.

But I always play DR2 with a mod that added extra units, mainly units from the SP Campaign. But I cant find the site for the mod anylonger, its totally gone. The mods name was just Extra Units Ruleset.

I saw that there are some DR2 players here, and Im wondering if anyone know what mod im talking about.

It added JDA Traitors, Tograns and worms for Sprawlers and much more, units, buildings, airstrikes etc, for both factions.

I remember that mod. It would be like adding stuff like the Stasis truck to a Recycler Variant in modern BZ2. Of course, BZ2 actually uses pretty much all of its units so such a mod wouldn't really travel very far.

Good times though, good times.

Yes, and I was drawing parallels as this IS a board about Battlezone... I have, as I said, played that mod too. It added everything including the floating relic from that one mission.

That mod is still out there, you just have to do some digging. I downloaded it a month ago. I could probably upload it somewhere if need be.

oh my god, fantastic. Thats the mod I was searching for, a thousand thanks.

Noticed its not the exact version I used, it got a bit more rulesets and more maps, nice.

Oh and the new unit names are like: game.types.spawler.unit.obelisk
I remember fixing that last time I got the mod, but I cant remember how now, anyone know?

I'm really sorry if necro posting is frowned upon on this board, but I only now discovered this board and this topic. I registered so I could reply to it. I created the Extra Units ruleset mod. I'm pretty sure I still have it. If anyone's still interested in it then please let me know.

It's sad how many DR2 mod sites are down these days. Mojo's, Zem's, and yours. I wish I had downloaded and backed up everything.

That's why I'm glad we have so many careful archivists in this community.

How do you use the extra units rule set mod?
