I would have posted this here myself last weekend with my referral link, but, I've had the flu and it has destroyed any plans I had. In this game, getting referred actually benefits you.

Send them an email about how they had given me double the points of a regular starter pack, got a reply:
"Hi [insert funky name],
Thanks for purchasing the Starter Pack. It does look like the system doubled the Gold VIP status and Diamonds on your account. We'll look into what may have caused this, but we won't deduct anything from your account. Consider it an early present from us
