Damnit, we really need that 1998 version... :/
Re: Download Softimage EXP 3 for Half Life 2 modelers.
Have you tried a web search? I found this one searching for XSI exporter information. I tried to DL this one but gave up after 3 failed attempts. Is the 98 version of any use for BZII?AHadley wrote:Damnit, we really need that 1998 version... :/
Re: Download Softimage EXP 3 for Half Life 2 modelers.
The 1998 version (or thereabouts) is what was originally use for BZII, so saves directly into the correct XSI format without the need of any exporting or conversion. Everybody gave up looking long ago

Last I checked you can't even expect to buy the thing off Amazon or Ebay. If anyone were to find it, by any means, it would be a great find and even better if it is a legitimate method of acquisition.

It's pretty much the holy grail of BZ2 modelling, even better than 3DS with the exporter because of vertex anims.

Any who find it shall be exalted and have their praises sung for a thousand generations.
Or was that a bit much?

I'm always looking for such things and thought this one might work as a modeling option for BZII modders. I wish I could download it myself but I need to get DSL or better to actually make it happen, and yes I would post a link for all to use as well.General BlackDragon wrote:Klink your good at modeling sutff, you should go find it for us

Has anyone actually tried this version or is the XSI version like 3.5? The SI Mod Tool has several XSI exporters but they're all worthless for BZII. I don't know about doing vertex animation though as TS supports vertex animation but the're apparently not compatible with BZII although I've had a lot of luck finding various export plugins for TS. Who knows maybe one exists for it that I have yet to uncover tucked away on some obscure web site. I avoid torrent sites due to legal issues and especially viruses so search options are pretty limited for BZII modders as I understand it. The search goes on...vish me luck fellow modkins
