ISDF Thunderbolt Remake

So I'm sure this has been done a million times and in a much better way, but figured I'd post this here, I couldn't figure out how to do the strafing animations and copying and pasting from the ivscoutsf/n/r XSIs could cause it to screw up so... and it's missing a texture:
And this is it in the game, with smoothing groups applied as well:

as you can tell, it's just a WIP, but quite frankly, I probably won't finish it because I can't UV for crap, and not sure how to replicate the strafing animations, I'm sure a custom cockpit for it would have been easy to do as well but meh..

Not bad
Looks like from the youtube video the strafe anims work already.
The UVMapping might be mostly intact, try slapping a skin on it.

Actually GBD, no they don't. Forward and reverse do, but turning and strafing do not.
Otherwise, not bad for a WIP. I'd like to see a lot of the older units in a more high-def style if someone is willing to make the time to make the models. Someone else could do the textures perhaps, but otherwise a nice start.

TwinShadow is right, it doesn't have strafing and turning animations... I had tried copying them from the stock ivscoutsf/r/n XSIs and it wouldn't copy over so... What do you mean "older" units? When I read that I immediately thought Bz1 units.

Notepad cut n pasting works very well with xsi, can't imagine why it wouldn't work. Only tricky thing should be getting the pivot points in the right place to start with.
Possibly you have not got all the { & } in precisely the right places, there have to be exactly the right amount through the whole model structure or the animation will not be read.
Open the xsi in 3dex to test animations. If the animation bar does not appear then the animation will not work in bz2, Add or subtract },s at the bottom of the file, above the animation until the animation bar appears in 3dex.
It is much easier to just export one xsi from your modeling program, copy/rename it and paste in the original animations in notepad than it is to export all of them from the modeling program.
You should be able to just take one xsi where the animation does work and just replace the animation sections with another one. (this also means that you know all the models are exactly the same)

I meant the original BZ2 units. Though seeing the BZ1 units in high-def wouldn't be bad either.

i think all the textures would need to be increased in rez in order for it to look good; seeing a hi-res unit on a low-res terrain might look...awkward.

Original BZ2 units would be cool, I'd be interested in seeing a Warrior tbh

It would, I've seen stuff like this in other games, it does look awkwark/out of place lol

Pretty good remake. However the thruster is not really accurate at all, that's the only thing that really jumps out at me.
