AIP making (topic split)

No!


The computer can manage base command and units command in the same time easier than the average player!
We need pools colored so that we know where to send scavengers.

I do not want a elite Ai-I just want a cool ai.. It is boring to fight only maulers/robots!!!! I want diversity!

Than make the changes and submit them instead of making demands.

Then make your own set of AIPs and do as Red Spot said:

Well, not each and every one builded an AIP until now. I will wait for better AiP from others

Others arent complaining. Or simply build their own mods to facilitate their needs.

Maybe if you actually put some effort in learning about AIPs, which isnt hard at all, you might actually find out its fun for you to tinker with it and maybe you might actually become good at it .. maybe. Sitting on your rearend making demands does generally not get you very far.

This, I have my own mod that I can play that I made a set of AIPs for and such to make AI harder and more interesting (not that they as awesome as they are in G66 or UEP Bezerk)... but still better than stock... AIPs are actually quite easy, but will take tweaking and modifying to get the desired result but are still fun to watch knowing that's what you did

EDIT - Oh yeah, back on topic, Norton seems to also hate the DLLs along with the exes, granted I can disable it's auto-protect, throw the patch in manually, and then reactivate it and it doesn't remove those files

I have created an AIP but how do I test it, now and where do I have to save it?

Let me help you help yourself.

How did you make the AIP?
Where did you find an example?
Which AIPs do you see ingame?

Now dont answer me, answer yourself.

On a sidenote, if you do have modding questions, you'd be better of making a topic in the modding sub-forum. Not only do you not sidetrack other topics, but people might be more inclined to go into detail about it.

Demanding an answer and snapping when you don't get it won't help you. What Red Spot is doing is teaching you; getting you to think for yourself and learn. Following what he is saying will teach you how to make an AIP; demanding answers will produce the result but leave you leaning on others as a crutch.

If it is named the same as the originals you can just drop it into Addon to test it.

I know the answers but:

i cannot find a good complete aip tut
youtube aip tut is average
questions not answered in the youtube tut and similar tutorials:

where to save the aip so that i can use it in multy and see near the insane aip from multy

how to save the aip- do i need to name it in some specific way, do i have to save it in a folder with a specific name? Where to place that folder?


The baby steps of aip i cannot find anywhere...

So if you want to help give some links and answer the questions please.
