Creating a Recycler Variant

Post by Vadam »

I know how standalone mods launch, but I haven't the foggiest on how recy variants work. I think they have something to do with the addon folder, but once again I don't know. I would imagine every new thing has to have a unique name, so it avoids overlapping with stock objects. I mainly need to know where the files go in the directory and how to get the variant to appear on the recy list, but any other details relating to this is appreciated.

to get them to show up in the recycler and AIP lists:

look in maps13\autoreg and you'll see a list of recycler variants.

model your autoreg file/files after one of those and use a distinct name.

make an autoreg folder directly under addon or your mod folder and stick your autoreg file/files in there.
