Some weird weirdness back on my favorite map Alien Dunes. Check it out. Had Greenhart variation, Wug level Standard AIP, me isdf, borghoyzee (my computer) scion, playing it on hard (finally) both of us with medium sized forces, and just to be complete, respawn turned on. And neither attack forces would attack buildings. I had ten assault tanks in his base. They took out the scavs, took out the constructors, and ate up every fighter that launched. But I couldn't get a red line reticle going on any building nor any attack order. So I sent in some turrets and they went to town. Yet offensive units would not attack enemy buildings. And enemy maulers didn't attack my gun placements like they usually love to do. Were my peeps secretly infested with biometal? Have the scions hacked into my IFF system? (actually if I were a betting man that probably wasn't too far from the truth.)
BTW Yay, I'm a drunken scav now. You guys like me soooo much you had me leap over the normal scav to the better one! Can't wait til I reach the highest rank, Drunken Patch Creator!

Re: Alien Dunes Madness
Was the enemy Scion? If so, did they have a Jammer in their base? Jammers protect nearby buildings from the reticle line attack orders.

Enemy was scion. No jamming devices. (And I certainly didn't have anything to stop the maulers from ignoring my buildings. No, something has set buildings to friendly because you can actually tell units to follow enemy matriarchs. LOL. And it only happens to offensive units. Oh and the AI was super wimpy. I was playing on hard and didn't even get harrassed til I started attacking his base.General BlackDragon wrote:Was the enemy Scion? If so, did they have a Jammer in their base? Weird.
Re: Alien Dunes Madness
Solved my own problem of why attack units were'nt attacking the enemy base. Yes there as a jammer deep in the middle of the base and surrounded by spires. Didn't see it. As soon as I killed it the my big orange buddies started shooting at the buildings with hot plasma death. Don't know why the maulers were ignoring my guns but it may have just been luck or other priorities. Still concerned that playing on medium is harder than playing on hard. But I'm getting more difficulty by cranking up the AIP. Sorry I didn't see the darn jammer guys.
