Battlezone 2 DRM

I am making a backup of my old BZ2 disk using Daemon Tools and one of the things that the program can do is have a DRM profile for the disk where it can help it run. However I have been unable to find out what DRM the game uses, so any help would be appreciated.

Since you can copy BZ2 CDs as you wish I'd assume an ISO would work the same way. 1.3 does away with the need for the CD anyway, so you only need it for an installer (and my advice there is to keep a zipped up version of a from-disk install).

Ok thanks.
So would a regular iso disk still be able to play the original unpatched game, because I know that on most modern games they can detect that it is a virtual disk and stop you from playing it. I am wondering if BZ2 is the same.

A copied CD works perfectly for everything, so I see no reason an ISO wouldn't.

BZ2 has no DRM whatsoever, unless you count the 'cd check' for versions 1.2 and earlier a form of DRM (though there is a no-cd patcher for 1.2 and earlier).
Also you don't need to 'rip' the BZ2 CD. There are alternatives to doing that:
(1) Copy all of the files from the CD and perhaps zip it, or;
(2) Simply zip/rar/7z an already installed copy of BZ2 (patched or not).
You could even install BZ2 to a flash drive (or copy your existing install to a flash drive) and run it directly from there (on any PC) if you wanted to.
