3-way battles

I know this may seem really crass for those of you who know BZII backwards but about 10 years ago my friend and I got into BZII big time (perhaps a bit old for it at 52??) but had to give it up (the onset of children!). We had also discovered new levels that were downloaded which had a 3-way battle (2 opponents) - was this called 'Forgotten Enemies' - that were really tough? If so, where do I get the down load from now (the site does not seem to work now) as the computer I had has long since gone. Ironically, my friend and I still talk lovingly about BZII - it just cant be beaten (no pun intended). Also I've downloaded levels from 'Game Spy' - is this site ok?? Thanks for your help.

Ok- so I have downloaded the 'demos' which seem to work fine... where do I download the actual levels to play - three way battle (I recall one of the enermies were Hadians??)? Also, is there other levels to download of different enermies etc? (I am not really great with this sort of stuff). Thanks

Somebody who has recently released a mod should make more use of the dll that uses more than one AI.

yup, leave it to the insecure, i-need-attention-and-approval-and-recognition-guy to steer someone to his own mod when someone is asking about forgotten enemies...

Well they certainly can't play your mod if they want to play working 3 way. Of course, this had nothing to do with you as not only were you never mentioned, neither was FE1.3, but still you had to inject yourself like an attention seeking child.

1: Nod's asking about FE 3Way maps, yes.

2: Steering someone to his own mod? I did not make FE, nor did I have anything remotely to do with the creation of the FE 1.2 Full installer that I posted a link to.

3: insecure "i-need-attention-and-approval-and-recognition-guy" ? Where's this come from?

I am, of course, assuming that reply is directed at me. If it isn't, then by all means, disregard. However, if it is, then I say to you: What the hell?

I'm not going to get into the middle of the petty crap, but I'll say this. FE 1.2 currently is about the most-working expansion currently available aside from any bugs 1.2 in general has. Otherwise, all 3-way has proper support under 1.2 and there are a handful available in the stock install.

Gosh, I didn't think my request would cause such 'debate'! Eitherway, I have now downloaded FE and have an icon 'Forgotten Enemies' I can click (which is adjacent to the BZII icon). However, it takes me straight to BZII (which also has 'upgrades' Gamespy installed when I loaded some of their levels) - there doesn't seem to be any FE there! The 'instant action' levels are as they were and the 'single player' starts me back at the very beginning (level 1) of BZII - I think. I am worried about what version of BZII I have - the disc I have is from the time when the game first came out - will this make a different (I note a patch as also been installed)? Thanks again - sorry I am not more competent at this. I also note from some of the pictures that there are new machines and weapons(?) - how do you get these (actually lets just stick with getting FE up and running first!!)?

Make sure you've installed the 1.2 patch first. Also try going to the install location (C:\Program Files\Battlezone II by default) and running FeBz.exe.

Also on win vista/7/8 try Right clicking it, and running it as administrator.

Ok - so to you guys you think I must be stupid but...

Tried both - went to C:\Program Files(x86)\Battlezone II and found a load of 'FE' stuff/files etc there but no .exe. Tried running as administator and the screen went blank and did nothing! I am pretty sure the 1.2 patch is there - when BZII loads up there is some message at the bottom of the page (where you select which pilot you are) which says 'Patch 1.3PublicBeta6' (does this include 1.2?). I also installed FE from the link ('Install This') given above by General BlackDragon (does this have patch 1.2?). Thanks
