I now own the battlezone subreddit, located at http://www.reddit.com/r/battlezone/ .

The CSS needs a lot of work, if anyone wants to help out let me know!

You can count me as a "non-flakey BZ2 person". I've not registered for Reddit yet, but this might persuade me.

Also, Reddit has a policy against legally questionable content. Whether that prevents linking to sites that distribute the games illegally or not, I'm not sure.

Spock's battlezone1 net website links to a full installer which is of questionable legallity.

The installer which is outright illegal. Any non-free distribution of BZ1 or TRO is illegal, and the installer there does both. The installers on Dx's site are illegal for the same reason.

The only pieces of officially released Battlezone content that can be redistributed for free are maps included in Battlegrounds. Not even the program used to install them; just the maps.

What you just said isn't quite clear AHadley. What AHadley means is that any distribution of BZ1 or TRO that is of content that was non-free to start with (the game itself) is illegal. The BzE mod has questionable legality because Dx supposedly has a letter of permission, but Spock has never attained any permission for his distributions of the full BZ1, nor has anyone else.
