Does anyone really use a joystick in BZ2? Got one for War Thunder and figured I'd give it a run in good old BZ. NOt as good as hoped, but I'm still working with it. Anyone else tried it?

I tried it once, a long time ago. The analog stick didnt work as expected since it either supported full movement or no movement, and not any speeds in between like you would expect. Made it hard to aim mortars on tanks especially.

I played with a force feedback stick way back in the beginning, but as people's skills improved, I started to get slaughtered all the time.

There was a guy at one of my BZ lan parties that had full flight rig, stick, throttle, and foot pedals. It looked oddly like he was rowing a boat when he was playing.

BZ2 ought to be able to read analog axes.

For a while I tried using a combo of the stick and mouse.

Timevirus said he used one instead of the wasd keys and, after he got used to it, loved it.

I thought TV used dual joysticks (unless that was some person at timedisruptor). Whatever he used, he was a pretty darn good sniper.

I used a Microsoft Sidewinder Strategic Commander Mouse/Joystick back around the time Forgotten Enemies first came out. Been a few years since I had the drivers installed for it but liked having the buttons mapped out for unit/building select.
