Do the guys inside the game also use mouse and keyboards?

hum hum, i read your post a few seconds after you post him, and i choose to illustrate my answer with an ingame screen, but my AMD GC decide to crash the computer again when i leave the game...
So here is my answer:
"No, like you see on this screenshot, the screen in the relay bunker is a touchscreen, no mouse and keyboard"Image

Nope, biometal creates a neural link.

I hope that's not an attempt at a legitimate answer.

@ Zero angel makes sense

@Redspot are you sure?

@Mrtwosheds Do you think they are using keyboard mouse keys or track balls?

Possibly a wireless mouse that got lost in the attack.

Wireless mouses seem like the would cause trouble inside a sabre.
Just imagine an ISDF pilot attacking a gunspir, and as soon as the arc cannon hits his sabre, he drops his mouse.

However if it was wired he can simply yank the cord to get it back up. :mrgreen:

Ah, inside the vehicles is another matter. I presume they are fitted with a flight control system similar to that you might find inside a fighter jet.

Buildings seen in-game are controlled using touchscreens, but computers at fixed facilities (like Cerberus Base) are mouse and keyboard.

This is probably the most close to canon answer.
Note, the NSDF razor was the welding of a real aircraft front to the engine rear, thus, it probably featured many aircraft based controls (though not for sure). I would expect that the craft use aircraft like joysticks with some minor alterations to deal with the idle state being not moving rather than forward like an aircraft. They might even use a dual-shock controller just like the car in Men in Black, but what is most likely is a dual joystick setup where one controls thrust (as opposed to the basic throttle of an aircraft that just has a range from 0 to 100% forward) and the other pitch and yaw (not quite an aircraft joystick, but close). There may also be rudder style peddles for strafing. Really, every craft could be different in some way, especially when you move on to alien craft. In fact, in a mod, it might be a good idea for a scripted event where an AI ally snipes an enemy ship to then have a few moments of them trying to figure out how the heck to drive it, and nearly strafing off a cliff.

Story of the Scions clearly states they are fused with the biometal. If the ISDF would use some form of controls, what do the scions use? The ships are basicly an extention of themselves.

Except you can snipe and drive a Scion ship, even in the campaign.
