A Question of Canon

Here's a list of all Battlezone media containing anything resembling narrative elements.
  • Battlezone website (1)
    Battlezone manual (1)
    Battlezone (1) (2) (3)
    Battlezone strategy guide
    Battlezone Instant Action Pack (1)
    The Red Odyssey (1) (2)
    The Red Odyssey manual (1)
    Battlegrounds (1)
Rise of the Black Dogs (1)
    - To hell with it, let's throw the arcade mode in too (1)
    Battlezone 2 website (1)
The History of Biometal Warfare (1)
    Pandemic_Watch (1)
    Battlezone 2 demo (1)
    Battlezone 2 manual (1)
    Battlezone 2 (1) (2) (3)
    Battlezone 2 strategy guide

I haven't yet scanned the story content for the strategy guides in. The first contains a few technical readouts and journal entries from the two player characters, while the second runs over the story background in the same way the manual did.

The question I pose to you all is thus; which of the items on this list do you consider non-canon, and why?

Generally its a good idea to tier your stuff.
This order applies to pretty much anything:
  1. Direct media as games or video
  2. Manuals
  3. Official supplemental material
  4. Official "alternate universe" material and 3rd Party Material marked "official" such as guides
  5. Unofficial expanded content, development flavor text, etc
  6. Other 3rd Party Material
That list isn't perfect but it first well for most other things.

I have tiers laid out already, but I haven't mentioned them because I don't want my preconceptions to influence the views of others.

There is a reason I gave highly general tiers that work for any fiction.
