Connecting to IRC

Any recommendations for connecting to the IRC channel via a web client?

Gamesurge no longer works for me, some confliction with Java and I'm sick of trawling around for fixes that don't work. Any good alternatives, freenode connected me to an empty #bz2 room for some reason. Hell even the in-game IRC won't connect at the moment. Gamesurge hates me.

I use xchat when I am loading my linux build. mibbit worked in the past, and it is web-based. Not sure of any others off the top of my head.

Never did like XChat. There's a superior fork of it called HexChat that looks to be slightly improved. Personally I use a client called Quassel that's cross-platform, the UI isnt as easy to grasp as most IRC clients though but it hits the spot on the functions I want.

One IRC program that i've been thinking of trying is IRC Cloud which allows you to be perma-logged into an IRC chat even if none of your computers are online. Just log in when you want on any device see what's been going on.
