1.3 PB7 only works on Windows Vista +.
Dunno what you could even do with older versions of BZ2 anyway...

I see so only win 7 or 8 would be worth it. Not worth buying 8 for that thing XD

True but I need to see what operating system I have on that pc to upgrade XD
Also I did upgrade my laptop to windows 10 but I went back because I felt like I got spyware and an ugly ui.
I didn't understand the purpose of the upgrade.....

Windows 10 is free!
Not. Most people consider their Souls to be a high price indeed.
Win 10 won't work on a p4, consider yourself fortunate, it's an anti-piracy platform programmed to destroy its own clones. The future is here and it's loaded with silly booger programming. Malware and spyware have been rendered obsolete, by building them into the operating system... All hail Linus Torvalds!

Windows 8.1 has actually really impressed me by being the first ever piece of software I have seen to actually completely destroy an operating system that I actually wanted

A copy of itself on an ssd, well done windows 8.1.

@MTS - Thought you might like to know that most of the Computer Science graduates I know are currently running Windows 10.

I hope they all end up working as Microsoft technical support staff.

Two of them work in digital forensics. I'd have thought they'd be the last people MS would want as tech support staff.

Win10 should install on a P4 if it's the newer 'Prescott' variant -- see
this threads. Only the 32-bit version should be supported.
I do have Win10 (beta/preview -- can't remember if it's 32 or 64 bit) on an Athlon 64x2 3800 running fine.

Well since BZ isn't the most ideal thing to do with it I have 2 other ideas.
Experiment with WINE on linux mint or lubuntu
Turn it into a file server and use it the transfer files between my laptop and rpi and whatever else I need.

An operating system (OS) is system software that manages computer hardware and software resources and provides common services for computer programs.

A Shoperating system (SOS) is system software that manages computer hardware and software resources and provides a platform from which to sell other programs, goods and services to the user, this often includes the Shoperating system itself which is commonly presented as "free". This lexicon description also refers to the English slag term "Shopped" which is the practice of informing police forces of criminal acts, another common function of a Shoperating system.

And I am still contemplating going all DALEK on my one.
Buying Win 10 gets you a product key. OEM installs only have a product ID. I haven't actually bought it...and considering the way support gets removed even if you do buy, I don't see that MS is really offering the sort of stable O/S environment that users like myself want.
