Played some IA yesterday, almost got my behind handed to me at start, 4 players vs me is a bit much it seems ...

However, that may be because my teammate didnt do a thing untill I killed some of his GTs and allowed him to free his recy from this 'GT trap', I even believe one of the 4 enemy AIs suffered from the same condition.

I'd also advice to spawn a second powerplant behind every GT-group as its fairly easy to build up 10 scouts (which are amazingly hard to hit), send them in and use your own dual SP to take down the powerplants, when you arent being attacked yourself that is ...

Still it was a very fun game and I am suprised how difficult it was at start and before the time I could place some strategic GTs :)
(3 of these scouts at start, per AI, aimed at your base, DOES HURT!)

The AI on Hard and Extreme difficulty do build 2ndary power for their GT's. As well as build upgraded ships if they have an armory. And they are more likely to drop daywreckers on you...And...And...And... :P

Mission: Wrangling the fleeing herde (take down the arty's and use fact to set up an ambush)

The artifact is clasified as enemy and whatever may be left of a defence will kill it as soon as it has nothing else to shoot at.
Also, for some reason the AI recy AND fact seem rather unpredictable in wether they deploy or not. One instance I got attacked by 5 scouts soon after taking out the arty's, the next I get a few scouts paying a visit after which no more enemy attacks seem to follow.
I'm not sure about the next but I think the AI also doesnt receive any scrapcheat as killing one of two scavs means it seems to fall a sleep as well.

Edit: forgot to mention. Something is really going wonkers when you send the recy/fact/armo to a geiser from a distance, it seems they always go exactly the other than in the direction of the geiser. Simple workaround is to send them near a geiser and tell them to seek a geiser on their own once they arrived, still an unsuspecting commander might catch this behaviour a bit late .. ahem .. 8-)

Edit2: Grrrr!!

Dont really like my role in this topic ....

Next mission in line:
http://members.ziggo.nl/red_spot/New%20 ... _00016.JPG
http://members.ziggo.nl/red_spot/New%20 ... _00017.JPG

Fought a grant total of 1 scout in order to complete that mission.
The AI has its recy and fact deployed, and all the scrap it needs, but it simply doesnt do anything.

Edit: "Flying Solo"
Mission succes only seems to come when you change back into your original tank, or at least bring it back to/leave it at the beacon. Dont remember the original having that restriction, but could be wrong :)

Edit2: "Total Destruction"
http://members.ziggo.nl/red_spot/New%20 ... _00018.JPG
The AI sends everything on the map to your base at start, including howitzers, after that it gets silent ..

Taken while building a few turrets and tanks from the Factory on I believe the second or third mission on Mars. The one right after finding the Cthonian relic on Mars and you're told to go investigate a Volcano. Dunno what caused the crash exactly, but that's what I was doing. I mean, I needed something with a little more oomph in power than just simple scouts.

That particular mission is laggy as can be on my end, but played pretty nicelly for the rest. Overall it played pretty smoothly but it had very laggy moments where the game pretty much locked up for a second.

AI was tame, I believe cause it couldnt handle the mines that keep shooting at scavs. And a whole compliment of tanks cant even take them out cause they waste their ammo before killing the mine and just hop around it till they die. However the AI gave me all that I ever noticed in that mission. They tried to flank me, tried to get to the volcane just as I was arriving there and send a fairly sizable assault with a few bombers after the order to defend the volcano.

No lag for me since nothing from the game lags my system so far. Even with 50 Maulers attacking all at once still didn't lag my system. XD

Its near 'infinite loop' sort of lag. Havent played the mission at least twice so I didnt report it before, but the dll is probably a bit wonkers at some area as the 'twitching' is infrequent and only starts after I had deployed my own recy, correction, started exactly when I deployed my recy.

FYI: I love games where I send 100 blast Sabres into a GH-style AI-base that has gone unmolested so far, and that still leaves me a smooth game.

Heh. I think I might know what triggered mine, but I'll have to test my theory out later after something to eat. Man's gotta feed that stomach after working for 5-ish hours. But theory is, I went to the volcano before I deployed the recycler and SLR on a geyser, so maybe that did it. Don't know for sure. I'll try two different ways and try.

So I did the same thing I did last time, and.. the game worked. Dunno what happened, but I guess what I had was a fluke for a crash. Oh well..

"The Three Beacons"

The mission fails every time I reach the stage where the mission tells me to pick up the Russian survivors. Wether I linger around first or race to pick up the US survivors doesnt seem to make a difference on the outcome.

Very fun start of the mission though, the AI seems a lot more aggressive than in the original 8-)

I think I know the mission. I had a problem with that one too but it usually ends up being an 'NSDF Pilot' being killed even though its supposed to be Russian. Problem though I think is due to how the Furies explode. With the lingering explosions, there's a higher chance of a pilot being killed, especially when its attacking a base, so don't know if that had anything to do with it.

Grant it, that's if I'm thinking of the right mission. Had to fix something else in another game that broke due to improper formatting in a config file.

This may sound stupid, but can you tell me how to start the CCA campaign?
'Play ISDF' and 'Play Scion' both give me the US campaign up to the mission where you have to destroy the Fury manufacturing facility.

There's a folder in BZCaddon for it, with a pilot_# file already at CCA mission 1.

play_scion will continue the CCA campaign after the final nsdf misn.

Apparently in 1.3 the DLL command "ChangeSide()" doesn't work :(

Thanks, that did it.
Might want to add a note about it in the readme though ;)
