Forgotten Enemies do not work under Public Beta 1.3.6.3

Trying to play FE under 1.3.6.3 Public Beta causes an exception if trying to start campaign. After closing the info terminal I always get:

FE is utterly ruined in any form in the new 1.3 patch.

I've recently been playing through a mashed up version which I have made myself to try and get it working. I shoved edited QF1 assets into it along with an old FE13 patch. Even so, it has countless screw ups throughout the entire campaign.

I've had to edit the DLL's extensively as I go to get the missions playable, but there are some missions which are so utterly broken that I wouldn't know where to begin fixing them. The 1st mission crashes almost instantaneously, and I couldn't fix it, so I just skipped it (Damn it! I love that mission).

My advice is that you only play FE with the 1.2 patch... or wait for a working FE 1.3 patch to come out.

that's the first SP mission, which runs fine on my end. i posted some FE SP fixes here last year or so. the DLL Scriptor returns zeroes for some calls, hence some malfunctions in some missions, so i'm considering converting them to straight C++ DLL's, but i've been trying to avoid that to maintain accessibility. if full Lua scripting is implemented in BZ2 the future, we can use that instead.

i'll be devoting my time to FE once i finish polishing up new stuff (IA and IA thug mode, defensive behavior, adding/tweaking units/weapons) and a couple fixes in G66, which i'll carry forward to FE, Epic, ZTV, and perhaps Uler.
If given the truth, the people can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts - and beer.

Yay! Can't wait to get an updated Epic MPI DLL so I can fnally put out that patch.
