So Coxxon, how have you spent 2015?

Coming soon(ish):

Battlezone II REMODELED

While working on and after completing the BZII hi-res texture package, I decided to work on the rest of the visuals.
I hope that this package will do for the game's visuals/models/effects/textures what the 1.3 patch has done for the code and gameplay.
Below is a very small sampling of my work. I "hope" to have the entire thing done sometime in September (though I originally thought I would have it done by June, so we'll see how that goes).
I have a few models left to build, and then I'll need to do some final testing ... but it's close to being ready.

So here's a sneak peak. (The hi-res texture pack was not installed for most of these, so interface and terrain textures are the old blurry ones.)

Would love to see more diverse terrain, but I believe we are limited by the engine on that.

Very nice, the only thing that strikes me as odd is the Sabre's cockpit. Seems like it is the same skin streched out to make it look as if it is seen from a different angle.

*Reminds himself that he has cockpits turned off*

Sabre cockpit looks very close to the cannon, which could be the same for stock. If the cockpit opens like the ones on most jets, the cockpit wouldn't be able to fully open before slamming into the cannon.

For me I think it is the grill that causes the cockpit to look weird(ish). The grill clearly shows the skin is not sloping, but the actual model shows it clearly does.
I.o.w. the cockpit makes me feel I'm looking at a flat piece of metal, from an angle.

I think the cockpit on the sabre doesn't open, we just phase through it using advanced spacial distortion technology.
