Ah yes, the favorite tactic of newbies. Spam 'I need a ship!' to the com as rapidly as possible. Because clearly the com can't tell by your player icon that you're a pilot, and his first priority is to immediately cancel production, teching, upgrading, unit management and combat to make a ship for you so that you can be back in battle 5 seconds earlier than you would otherwise be -- because you would obviously not lose it in 15 seconds after getting it, to a suicide attack on the enemy base.

It's almost as if the more you spam "I need a ship!" the lower chances of you actually getting a ship.

I hate people who spam that button... I don't even use it tbh, I just type it in the chat and be patient lol -- if they've never commanded before they probably wouldn't understand all the micro management that you have to do

Just FYI. "Look at (null) tank" string always appears in the "Fanning the Fire" mission.

I wonder if the Player is being given a LookAt order via DLL, or if one of the handles passed into LookAt is invalid.

I think it's supposed to give the other factions the lookat order towards the player. Player's ship is objectified (painted) and it looks like his virtual team has changed. I don't think that the order is supposed to be given to the player, but it's being sent to the player anyways.

So I decided let's download the latest patch today and when I did I have several things that I can't seem to fix. I'm running a Win 7 computer, and when I installed the patch, and tried to set my resolution to my monitor size (1024x768) I noticed that whenever I restarted the game, certain text in the menu was really small, but others weren't.

Also, when I go in-game the radar and reticle are HUGE compared to what they used to be in the same resolution. I tried restarting the game and it took 3 times before randomly in-game it worked and looked the way it's supposed to. The text is still odd sizes in the menu.

Any ideas why?

In Graphics Options -> Page 2. What's your UI scaling set at?

Try setting UI Expansion to 1.5 ? Making the font bigger is kind of the entire reason the UI Expansion option exists.
