Submissions welcome. :) Personally I feel it would be easier and look nicer to just start of with something that looked right to start with, like another screen shot of a bz2 menu that had not been 256ed.
Just a screenshot of what the screen you see once logged in would be good, need to get rid of the smoke effect somehow.

So far I have "hand" processed 296 textures, of the terrain, sky's, props and effects type. Looking good. :)
The contents of folders ISDF and Fury remain to be done.
I do not have the originals of some texture's from the 1.3 pack.

I am still at it, slowly. Generally I have been taking great care to preserve the look of the original artwork, but some bits just don't go well.
At the moment I am working on the rocket tanks skin and the real tricky bit is the track sides, yes the non animated bit, the bit that has cogs...Cogs like bits of a watch mechanism, like no vehicle I can think of has at all, except for maybe an early steam engine. The scavenger also has this blurry indistinct artwork. I am contemplating an alternative look, a bit more like the plated sides of the assault tank maybe? only flat of course, something that does not look so obviously Not Animated.

I agree, make an armor plate to "protect" the non-existent but obviously 1900's era Cogs.

I'm just doing hi textures for the stock game Red. I cannot animate them.
Making the Cogs detailed and clearly visible will look really odd.
Going to try the dark dirty grey with hubs look.

Not easily and not without some model changes to get it to work.

Oh, artwork's still being done on my xp rig, due to it being the one with all that stuff installed on it. Consequently that's an old bz2 patched to some test version. It still has the bug where stuff behind other stuff get drawn in front of it instead of behind it.

Great...and I am stuffing MSwallet (etc) for what? To pay again and again to reaquire things I already have?
I went to a Chinese supermarket the other day, I did have to smirk at the software their tills use, it's at least a decade if not two, out of date, they use this because it works, it does what they need it to do and it does not cost any more money to do it.
This PC still works fine (as long as I don't connect it to MS) it has a huge variety of programs installed and working. From an artistic output perspective is far more capable than the newer one, which is still little more than a basic win 8 (oem!)install, it took years to get it like this. Ill get rid of it when it fails, not every time MS want to re sell the same thing with another bell or whistle on it and make me spend the next 3 months trying to figure out how to get it functioning just like the one I already have.
And yes my car is 13 years old too.
