? Wtf? I ment Update BZ2.

1.3 PB6.5? works on XP still.

I'd never expect someone to update their windows version unless something drastic happened.

also I always use the same disk I used to install windows 7 on all my PCs.

Oh that. :)
Obviously I have an install of that, I have a lot of bz2 installs. That one is just the one I am dumping textures into to see what they look like, there is no specific reason for choosing it.

People care more about the results than the tools used to create them.

I am sort of into the tools used but only because I like to know so that I can exploit said tools to my own ends.

looks nice, but is stuff behind it supposed to show?
No.
And now that you mentioned it, I decided to check it out better...
Without my hires alpha channel texture the grass displays normally.
with it it draws things behind in front!
I cannot see how simply using a different texture causes this.

How does the transparency in the original texture compare to your new one?

I remember what this is now, it's the grass cross polygons being one object, giving video cards a hard time deciding what part is in front, the original texture acts like a diffraction filter breaking up the image and reducing the impression of in front or behind, any texture with solid bits greater than a few pixels will cause this effect when applied to that model, few other models are frequently placed in a position where it ever gets noticed.
How does the transparency in the original texture compare to your new one?
It's a "work of art" :). ie it does not upscale well due to it being a random mess of colored blobs given form only by its alpha channel.
Upscaled versions look worse than the original, maybe 256x256 is actually its perfect resolution and it should just not be included in a large textures pack. :)

Has anyone seen THE END.
I don't seem to have found this texture yet. :?

Another thing that's bugging me is glowskins, I made one for the ISDF tank just to turn its little lights on, but now it intermittently makes the whole tank go white. Sometime it glows ok, sometimes the whole texture apart from the lights vanishes. Stock glowskined units do not do this.

Yes. When you finish the single player it displays an image with The End written on it.
