This may not be the right board, but I am just wondering, as it has been a while, whatever happened to the Community Project? (Though some dislike this name.) Just wondering, because.

Very slow progress. N1 updated me a while back; the word "grinding" covers it, I think.

Odd....I don't see anything.

How about this for a storyline:

Hadean civil war ends,

Cerberi dead.

Exploration of new solar systems via cthonian portals

New enemy, angry, alien, whatever.

Fight, defend, stop invasion of our home.

Win and go home.

Someone write me a story, I can't be bothered.
Some thing like, Small squad of Daleks escape from the Void, into a parallel Universe, one without Timelords etc.
Where they go about rebuilding their race using the primitive biometal found there, to their disgust they find that their home world Skaro never existed in this Universe, but a parallel Earth does! using "time" technology's they identify a significant recent events in that Universe, that they can manipulate to their own ends, specifically the events leading up to the destruction/or not of the Scion core world...Using mind control and subversion technologies they infiltrate the scion core and race to seriously alter history and finally bring about the fall of Earth, without any interference at all from any annoying Timelords...

This saves me a lot of trouble and will allow me to reuse the stock maps, characters, assets etc :)
Anyone who wants to whinge about Daleks re writing BZ2 history, will be exterminated.

Sorry, kind of bumping this here:

Was just reading through the old BZU archives and the 1.3 CP board. Brought back memories, some good, some bad. Most remined me of how I handled myself of teh interwebz back then.

Firstly, if I caused anyone agony, I apologize. I have this guilt over my head that I was a very negative factor for the project back then.

Secondly, if the CP is dragging on slowly in its current form, I am just throwing it out there that perhaps, just perhaps, we could consider throwing this back out to the Community to resume work on, even if it is just suggestions and the main body of work is continued mostly by those still working on it. I just want to see this thing moving forward, in whatever form it can.

If there are objections, I understand. Just a suggestion.

All this is for N1 and Jayden to answer.

Good. I'm glad i'm not the only one who hates those pesky Timelords.

The Cerberi will be back, and I'm pretty sure they will have something in mind

That and real life maybe. Not enough people are involved, and the few who are working on it are also working on other projects I would imagine. I have some free time to work on models and props. I have some basic skills in modifying ODF and other tedious tasks. Let us know if the project could use a helping hand. Klink....

The Cerberi are all but wiped out by early 2020s, and are almost hunted to extinction by the Black Dogs by the time Fleshstorm begins. The CP takes place concurrently with FS3.

Besides, the Cerberus AI was destroyed long before - taking with it the Cerberi's ability to plan as a single, collective entity.

I recall a mention of the cERBERI aBOMINATION being in one of the missions of the new CP to give it the, "hey, I've fought these before!" kind of feel.

The way things are looking, the Swarm fill that position, just for a mission or two.

BBB mentioned wanting to spearhead another shot at it a few years down the line. I suggest "listen to the active modder!"

He does, however, want full creative control. In the end, how much do you trade creative control for getting it done? There is really no ideal balance, so I tend to support his methods.
