IIRC, and GSH can correct me, Natneg tries to get out through the network, failing that, upnp tries to map the ports, failing that, it doesn't work. If you have your ports already mapped, Natneg and upnp have no purpose and thus will always indicate some sort of failure.

jugger, i checked and UPnP was on, NAT was on, NAT-T was on, no ports forwarded, firmware is up to date, and firewal off.
one thing i noticed that others may run into is if you install to a folder and then rename that folder, it won't match the folder name in windows firewall. it won't match the folder in your shortcut, too.
