BZII keeps exiting window

I am having an intermittent problem with BZII v1.3.6.5 exiting the game and going to the windows screen.
Do you have any idea what could be causing this? And also what a fix would be.

The next time it happens, before you restart the game, can you post the contents of your "BATTLEZONE.log" file? (located in either: My Documents/My Games/Battlezone II/ or in your installed Battlezone II folder)

Couple of pointers that allow you to help yourself:
-state whether it is a modified game or not
-what are you doing when it happens, does it happen all the time or only when ....?

The game is not stopping, it just minimizes the window to the desktop screen.
I am usually playing the stock Battlezone II, but it has also done it with mods like uler.
It doesn't seam to do it with anything specific, it is somewhat random. It did yesterday before I even started a game, I was in the instant tab selecting a map when it did it also.
Like I said it is intermittent, it does it when ever it feels like it. Never doing the same thing.

Neither application should be stealing focus, though accidentally clicking on a Skype notification might cause this.

A canvas crash from skype can, but you tend to know that's happened because of error dialogs.

I don't have facebook or skype running in the background.
There shouldn't be anything running except Battlezone.
I have a fairly new mechanical keyboard, with no problems.

To bad u have problems running BZ2.

What are u running? windows 8? and could there be a antivirus blocking the exe ?

Try to reinstall it and install everything the correct way.

Post the logs so we can see what happends

I am running windows 7 professional, the antivirus is norton 360.
I have tried running norton in silent mode, but it doesn't make any difference.

Hmm. Wild shot in the dark based on experience, try updating your video card drivers?

Its indicating its losing your video device, which can be caused by various things. Maybe updating the video drivers will help?

It sounded like a good possibility. GeForce experience that usually keeps my video card up to date stopped working.
After updating GeForce and then updating my video card I played a game and still had the same problem.
Any other suggestions?
